The Low Frequency In Stereo: a band to be loved

How can somebody be happy, simply by opening their mailbox? (And I mean their hard mailbox, not their email inbox.)
Well, they can. If inside that mailbox is the new Low Frequency In Stereo record.
Last Friday morning. First thing I do, after I get out of bed, is to check my mail. Upon opening the box, I found a package from Norway. Without wasting any precious time, I opened the package, found the cd, unwrapped it quickly, hurried to play it back on my home stereo, and then...
...and then happiness!
This is an album of absolutely stunning beauty. I have to write this right from the beginning. Because its beauty shows right from the opening track. And lasts up until the last track.
More pop-focused than the group’s previous efforts, yet, at the same time, with the good old drone developments, that made us adore those Norwegians. There is no point to argue whether this is called post-rock, math-rock, cosmic electronic music, space pop, because ‘futuro’ represents all these fine and beloved genres at their best! I would dare describe it as an accomplishment of (modern) kraut rock.
You want more? I am damn sure you do. Their sound is reminiscent of the Velvets, every now and then. A little noisy, a lot trippy. Sophisticated electronica, with free free-jazz touches. Psychedelia meets ...surfmentals (surf instrumentals). But above all, this a true testament of sunshine pop. Captivating and groovy.
