the baseball project: exlusive premiere of their debut on our show

Thanks to Steve Wynn himself (and to my beloved postman, Theo P.), early this morning, I found inside my mailbox (see photo below), a copy of the debut album by The Baseball Project, officially due to hit the streets, on July 8th. The record, as the name indicates, is a baseball-orientated one. It contains songs about baseball. The Baseball Project are: Steve Wynn, Scott McCaughey, Peter Buck and Linda Pitmon.

The Baseball Project: Volume One: Frozen Ropes and Dying Quails. A brainchild of Steve Wynn (Dream Syndicate, Steve Wynn and the Miracle 3, Danny & Dusty, Gutterball) and Scott McCaughey, sometimes credited McOi (Young Fresh Fellows, Minus 5, and R.E.M). Yep Roc is putting the record out. But the listeners of our program will have the chance to check it out first.
